MCKINNEY, TX -- TAPS has been given a thumbs up to expand its operations in Collin County.
Collin County commissioners passed a vote unanimously Monday afternoon, allowing TAPS to become Collin County's official transit service provider.
This approval means that TAPS can take over Collin County's rural transportation routes.
McKinney city council members are in the process of drafting an agreement that would allow TAPS to also take over the county's public transportation routes.
This new acquisition of Collin County routes makes TAPS one of the largest transportation agencies of its kind in the state of Texas.
