FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) - A 50-year-old Fort Worth man has been sentenced to 75 years in prison for the sexual abuse of two young sisters that prosecutors say continued for years.
Authorities said Wednesday that Michael King will not be eligible for parole. A Tarrant County jury deliberated less than a half-hour Tuesday before convicting King of continuous sexual abuse of children. Jurors later in the day then determined his punishment.
Prosecutors say the victims are relatives of King. They say he lured the girls using candy and ordered them not to disclose his actions. But the girls last summer, then ages 6 and 10, told their mother.
The mother then contacted Fort Worth police.
