HOUSTON (AP) - A U.S. Marine on overseas duty in Guam has been returned to Texas to face child sex abuse charges.
Prosecutors in Houston say 22-year-old George Christopher Aragon was arrested on a charge of continuous sexual abuse of a child. Investigators say Aragon allegedly had molested a girl over several years. She's now a teenager.
Harris County Jail records show Aragon was being held Wednesday with bond set at $50,000. Online jail records did not list an attorney for Aragon, who was extradited Tuesday.
Prosecutors say Aragon was stationed in Japan but was on temporary assignment in Guam when he was arrested with the help of military investigators.
Further details on the case were not immediately released.
