FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) - Court documents reveal a North Texas man accused of fatally shooting his pregnant girlfriend and two others later walked into a police department and asked officers to kill him.
An arrest warrant obtained Tuesday by the Fort Worth Star-Telegram (http://bit.ly/1aWyUkv ) shows that after the slayings, 22-year-old Amos J. Wells III walked into the Forest Hill police station and confessed to the crime. He then asked police to shoot and kill him.
Wells remains in the Tarrant County jail with a $2 million bond. He's charged with capital murder in the July 1 deaths of his girlfriend, 22-year-old Chanice Reed; her mother, 39-year-old Annette Reed; and her brother, 10-year-old Eddie McCuin.
Police have said the shooting was preceded by an argument involving Wells and both Reed women.
