OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - The Oklahoma National Guard says more than 2,600 soldiers of the 45th Infantry Brigade Combat Team are to begin arriving home during the next week.
The soldiers were mobilized Oct. 18, 2007, and spent about four months training at Fort Bliss, Texas, before deploying to Iraq.
They provided security at Iraq's largest detainee facility at Camp Bucca and conducted day-to-day operations in Baghdad.
The soldiers will be arriving in groups of 200 to 300 during the next week at Southern Nazarene University in Bethany.
