TULSA, Okla. (AP) - Tulsa police say they've made a second arrest in the killing of a Missouri teenager.
Police Officer Jason Willingham says an anonymous tip led them to a north Tulsa residence, where they spotted 18-year-old Tyler Deerinwater. They say Deerinwater fled but was caught by officers
after a short foot pursuit and arrested on a first-degree murder complaint.
Willingham says Deerinwater acknowledged to police his involvement in the killing of 14-year-old Tevon Mathies, who was shot to death on July 1 as he walked with friends in front of an apartment complex.
Police earlier arrested 20-year-old Jeffrey Proctor, who was booked into the Tulsa jail on Friday. They are seeking a third person in connection with Mathies' death.
