LAWTON, Okla. (AP) - A Cache man has been arraigned in connection with a deadly attack on a rural Comanche County family.

Mica Alexander Martinez, 29, was arraigned in Comanche County District Court in Lawton on one count of first-degree murder and two felony assault and battery charges. District Judge Joe B. Reeves denied bail.

Martinez is accused of entering the home of Carl and Faye Miller early Monday and beating them and their son, Shawn Monk, 33, who was spending the night.

Faye Miller, 55, was killed in the attack. Carl Miller, 64, is in critical condition at a Lawton hospital. Monk, who grappled with the intruder, was treated and released.

A preliminary hearing for Martinez was set for Dec. 2. A not-guilty plea was automatically entered by the court.
