OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Prosecutors say a shot from a revolver that
killed an Oklahoma City teenager in February was unintended, and
another teen who was holding the gun has been charged with
manslaughter.
Xzander Howard of Oklahoma City surrendered to police a day
after the shooting. He had turned 15 just days earlier.
Howard was charged with manslaughter Thursday in the Feb. 27
shooting of 16-year-old Kamron Adams. The bullet from the revolver
struck Adams in the head.
In the charging document, prosecutors say Howard didn't intend
to kill Adams but caused the death because of his reckless conduct
with a gun. Police say Howard admitted he was smoking marijuana
when the gun went off.
The teens and two others were watching basketball on television
when the shooting happened.
