STILWELL, OK. (AP) - Authorities are investigating the death of a Stilwell man whose body was found on the side of the road in Adair County.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation says the body was found at about 7 a.m. Wednesday by a driver traveling on a road south of Stilwell. Authorities identified the victim as 24-year-old Steven Buckner.

OSBI says there were obvious signs of trauma to Buckner's body and that the case appears to be a homicide. Authorities later arrested three people in connection with Buckner's death, though they haven't yet been charged.

The medical examiner's office will perform an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
