Cooking with Cathy: Hot & Sweet Thanksgiving Turkey
Chef Cathy Zeis is here with a way to revamp your Thanksgiving bird! Adding a little sweet and spice is a good way to add variety to your dinner.

Ingredients:
1-10-12 lb. turkey, thawed and rinsed
6 large fresh jalapenos
1 medium orange, sliced
8 oz. beer
½ cup extra virgin olive oil
½ tsp. garlic powder
½ tsp. cayenne pepper
Fresh cilantro for garnish

Directions:
Remove neck and gizzards from turkey and rinse with cold water. Pat dry and place turkey in a deep baking dish. Pour oil over the bird and rubbed with hands. Sprinkle turkey with garlic powder and cayenne pepper. Place jalapenos and orange slices inside the cavity and fill with beer. Cook uncovered at 350 for 1 hour. Cover wing tips with foil and cover turkey with foil and bake until done. *Be sure and follow the directions for cook times on turkey package.
