Healthy Holiday Cooking Competition winner Josh Aaron from the Island Bar and Grill at Highport Marina is cooking up a delicious spicy recipe! Its called Chicken Fra Diavlo, a pasta that the entire family will enjoy.
This is an original Italian recipe for marinara sauce.
Chicken Fra Diavlo:
2 boneless, skinless chicken breast
6 cloves of garlic
3 tbsp olive oil
3 small cans diced tomatoes
1 tbsp Italian seasonings
1 tbsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp crushed red pepper
1 tsp oregano
1/2 lb spaghetti
Put olive oil in a pan. Add chicken cubes along with italian seasoning, salt, pepper, cayenne pepper, oregano, and red pepper flakes. When chicken is almost done, add garlic. When done add tomatoes.
Cook pasta for 8-10 minutes in boiling water.
Drain well. Pour sauce over pasta and serve with garlic bread.
