Cathy's Bread Pudding

Ingredients


  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 10 slices of white or wheat bread, torn into bite-sized pieces
  • 3 cups milk
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

    Directions

    Toss raisins and bread in large bowl. Place in greased 2 ½ quart casserole pan. Mix milk, eggs, sugar, flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Pour over bread and raisins. Bake 1 hour. Let stand 15 minutes before serving.
