Creme Brulee



  • 1 cup of half and half
  • 1 cup of heavy whipping cream
  • sugar
  • optional: nutmeg


    Combine half and half and cream, whisk until frothy. Pour mixture into desert bowl and refrigerate for 2 hours to set. The top each bowl with 1 tablespoon of sugar (optional: add nutmeg). Use a culinary torch to caramelize or put bowls under the broiler with the door ajar for about five seconds or until caramelized. Another idea: add chopped strawberries or oranges to mixture for extra flavor.
