Cathy's Appetizer



  • 1 package pepper bacon
  • 1 pound fresh sea scallops
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream


    Cut bacon in half and fry until extra crisp. Remove bacon, cool and crumble. In the sauce pan, grill scallops in bacon grease until golden brown on each side. Remove to serving plate. To the grease, add cream and basil. Stir until thick. Drizzle sauce over scallops. Top with bacon. Be sure and drain your scallops before cooking. You don’t want them to be water-logged.
