Ingredients


  • 1 ½ cups flour
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 egg –slightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup water
  • shortening or oil for fying

    Directions

    Combine all ingredients with just enough water to make stiff dough. Knead until smooth. Roll out very thin and cut into triangular or diamond shape. Fry in deep pot at 400-425 degrees, turning several times to puff them evenly. When brown and puffy, drain on paper towels. Sprinkle cinnamon and sugar, serve with honey.
