Strawberry-Lemon Cake



  • 1 box of lemon cake mix
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • 2 cups of lemon juice
  • 2 cups of frozen or fresh strawberries
  • ½ stick butter


Bake cake according to directions. When cake is cooled, poke holes with a toothpick. Set aside. In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and one cup of sugar with strawberries. Bring to a simmer about 5 minutes.

In a small bowl, add 1 cup sugar and lemon juice and mix well. Pour over cake and wait 5 minutes then top with strawberry sauce.
