Honey's Lasagna



  • 2 lbs. lean ground meat
  • 2 envelopes spaghetti seasoning with mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 large bag of large egg noodles
  • 2-14.5 oz. cans seasoned diced tomatoes (your choice of seasoning)
  • 1 large tub of small curd cottage cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 2-1/2 cups grated cheese (Monterey Jack and Cheddar)


In a large skillet, brown meat. Add Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and spaghetti seasoning. Add 1/2 cup water and simmer for five minutes. Spray a 9x13 inch pan with cooking spray. Spread half of the bag of egg noodles to cover the bottom of the pan. Layer half of the meat on top of the noodles. Spread to cover. On top of the noodels, add half the tub of cottage cheese. Spread to cover. Add one can of diced tomatoes, juice included. Spread to cover. Repeat process. Add 1/4 can of water to the dish. Cover with foil and bake at 375 for 45 minutes. Remove from oven, uncover, and immediately top with 2 1/2 cups of grated cheese. Cover for five minutes or until cheese is melted. Serve with a side salad and fresh garlic bread. Yummy!
