Portabella Mushroom & Fresh Basil Butter Cream Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 large portabella mushroom, diced
- 1/2 cup fresh basil, chopped
- 1 stick butter
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- dash of salt
- splash of extra virgin olive oil
- 5 turns of ground pepper (1/4 tsp.)
- 1/2 pint whipping cream
- 1/4 cup white wine (cooking wine or alcohol wine)
- dash of salt (1 pinch)
Directions
Add stick of butter to a saucepan. Sprinkle with olive oil. (This keeps the butter from burning.) Add mushrooms, garlic, and basil. Stir consistently. Add salt and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes. Turn off heat and let thicken. Spoon over entree.
