Portabella Mushroom & Fresh Basil Butter Cream Sauce

Ingredients


  • 1 large portabella mushroom, diced
  • 1/2 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • dash of salt
  • splash of extra virgin olive oil
  • 5 turns of ground pepper (1/4 tsp.)
  • 1/2 pint whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup white wine (cooking wine or alcohol wine)
  • dash of salt (1 pinch)

    Directions

    Add stick of butter to a saucepan. Sprinkle with olive oil. (This keeps the butter from burning.) Add mushrooms, garlic, and basil. Stir consistently. Add salt and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes. Turn off heat and let thicken. Spoon over entree.
