Use Carol's Butter Buds/Canola Oil Pie Crust for a Sugar Free, Low Fat Pie.
6 egg whites
1 1/2 cups fructose
1 package dry Butter Buds
2 tsps. vanilla
1/2 tsp. walnut flavoring (optional)
1/2 cup roasted pecans, chopped (may substitute 1/2 cup Grapenuts)
Prepare pie crust. Roast pecans in microwave at 30 second intervals. Mix together egg whites, fructose, dry Butter Buds, and flavorings Pour mixture into pie crust. Sprinkle roasted pecans over top. Bake in 325 degree oven approximately 30 minutes. Watch that it isn't baking too quickly. Turn oven temperature down if needed and bake until done in the center.
