Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cornmeal
- ¼ cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- 1 cup (8 ounces) sour cream
- 1/3 cup milk
- ¼ cup butter or margarine, softened
Directions
In a bowl, combine the dry ingredients. In another bowl, combine the egg, sour cream, milk and butter; stir into dry ingredients just until moistened. Pour into a greased 8-inch square baking pan. Bake at 400° for 20-25 minutes or until toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Serve Warm. Yield: 9 servings.
