Apple Pie

Ingredients


  • 2 one lb. cans of apple pie filling
  • 2 pre-folded pie crusts
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon of water
  • 1/4 teaspoon of sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg

    Directions

    Crack egg and beat with water - set aside. Unfold bottom crust and place in 9" pie pan. Pour in the two cans of pie filling. Top with second crust and use fork to pitch edges together. Brush egg and water mixture on top crust. Sprinkle sugar and nutmeg. Bake at 400 degrees for 35 minutes.


    Cover crust edges with foil until the last ten minutes of baking to keep the crust from burning.
