Clean turkey, remove neck and gizzards. Put garlic powder and basil inside turkey. Pour beer inside. Rub garlic Italian dressing on outside of turkey with hands. Put in oven, uncovered and bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes. Afterwards, lower heat to 300 degrees and bake covered. After two hours, start basting every thirty minutes. Continue to bake until turkey is done (when button pops up). Let turkey sit for 15 minutes before carving.
