The American Academy of Pediatrics is urging parents to take a close look at their children's car seats. It's critically important the children be fitted for the proper car seat according to their age and weight.
The different age groups consist of: infants, toddlers/pre-schoolers, school-aged children, and older children.
The AAP recommends that, for infants especially, the car seat is "rear facing" until they are at least one year of age and are at least 20 pounds.
The right seat is important, as well as how it's installed. Make sure that you follow the directions, and if you have any questions or need help installing the car seat, just follow the website link below or call the numbers listed.
