KINGSTON, Okla. -- Kids at Kingston High School learned much more than reading, writing, and arithmetic on Wednesday.

Professionals from the community talked to students. Each class period, ninth through twelfth graders rotated classrooms to learn about different types of careers from the military to becoming a chef.

Teachers say it's a good idea for the students to start thinking about what they want to become.

"To possibly pick a career, we like for them to see people in our community, especially those who graduated from Kingston High School, so they can say, 'I can go accomplish that just like those people did,'" teacher Alicia Clifton says.

Career Day wrapped up at noon Wednesday.
