DURANT, Okla. -- A brave principal with a sense of humor gave his students something to chuckle at Thursday in Durant.

Tod Harrison, principal of Durant Intermediate School, got into the barber chair Thursday to let students shave his head.

This is the eighth year Harrison has done something like this, and he says it inspires his students to study hard and learn all they can.

"It’s designed to be an incentive for doing something good. we like to have fun around here," Harrison says.

Although Harrison has been doing this for several years, this is the first time he colored his hair pink.
