Ok - it took me 45 minutes to pick my children up from Sory yesterday, and the traffic was terrible on the highway. Are there any plans to fix this situation? I thought the school district was going to cut another entrance on the highway?

What was SISD thinking with Sory & putting an elementary school right next to a Highway? I saw kids walking around next to 56 today (with their parents, but certainly not holding hands) Although the building looks ok, there's absolutely no landscaping, it's covered in mud and dirt and there's weeds all around the entrances, which make it difficult for people traveling on Highway 56 to see traffic pulling out from Binkley Dr. Could they not get the Highway department to stripe 56 adequately and put up school signage? Is this what our bond money paid for - elementary schools with dirt all over the outside of the buildings (take a look at all of the new schools), and no grass for our kids to play on? I guess the only place SISD can have nice grass and landscaping is at the football Stadium. Maybe they'll start maintaining their campus' and plant some grass when they jack up our property taxes in October's election. Get ready - big taxes are coming 10/4/08 - Better get out and vote!

Anonymous this is for school parking information not church parking information

Thanks for the information, but I really think they need to "work" on people parking on the wrong side of the street when church is happening in downtown Sherman right next to the police station. They have pulled out in front of me while they are going the wrong direction. What's next?
