DENISON TX-- Roxanna Robbins has been staking out her son's school bus stop in Denison, using the camera on her cell phone to capture video of people who aren’t stopping for the bus.
She says is it is a dangerous situation.
"There needs to be a sign that says school bus children unloading or something that will make them aware to stop”, said Robbins.
Not stopping is more than dangerous, it is illegal
"Anytime you see the bus stopped and the lights on, you have to stop”, said Denison Police Lt. Mike Eppler.
The Denison Police Department says that most people do stop for school buses, and that they commonly patrol near bus stops.
Roxanna Robbins just wants drivers to realize that the life of a child far outweighs the two minutes you lose stopping for a school bus.
"Think about your kids, I mean if it were your kid getting off of that school bus would you want someone to stop and be aware of their safety?"said Robbins.
