DURANT, OK -- Southeastern quarterback Justin Pitrucha has been dismissed from the football team following an arrest and marijuana charges.

Pitrucha was arrested on Sunday night for marijuana possession and intent to distrubue within 2000 feet of the Southeastern campus. Head Football Coach Ray Richards suspended his quarterback, leaving the door open for a possible return.

“It would be inappropriate for me to address the specifics of this matter at the present time,’’ Richards said. “However, his status may be re-evaluated at a later date.’’

Pitrucha was one of six people arrested with possession charges, and one of two with intent to distribute.

Pitrucha shined as the starting quarterback two years ago, leading the Storm to a 6-4 record. But the team slipped to 4-6 last year, when Pitrucha was forced to sit out the season due to academic reasons.

This case still going on? If the DA in Bryan County has any sense, she'll make sure he's convicted of something.

Posted by: Michelle Location: Tx on May 16, 2008 at 09:17 AM
Justin has never done drugs before, and he hasnt lied either. The stupid baby opened the blinds, and the cops saw smoke! They need to drop the charges. If anything, the girl who had the diaperbag, which held the drugs, that girl should be put to jail. She confessed!!!!

Posted by: brainlapse Location: Sherman on May 7, 2008 at 11:13 PM
I'm sure most of you know this, but just in case there is someone who doesn't, here you go. The charge of "intent to distribute" doesn't mean that the police have evidence that he was dealing. By law, someone MUST be charged with "intent to distribute" if they possess over a pre-set amount of the drug. So, nobody is calling Justin a "dealer." "Intent to distribute" is only on the charge, because the police found more than that pre-set amount in his possession when they arrested him.

JP is my friend. He is innocent. I know him way too well. He might smoke every once in awhile but he would never have that kind of abundance and would never sell. He has a future and i hate all of these people who judge when they were not present. Wait until the verdict is out. Everyone will see he was in the wrong place at the wrong time and is getting a horrible reputation for it. Let it play out.

"SOSU student" I am well aware of who Justin Stephens is thank you very much...also, she has only been charged, not convicted...what is so wrong with her going out with friends to have a good time? Is supposed to sit at home and wait for her next court date? She is allowed to have a life..like I said, she has not been convicted of anything. Furthermore, Justin was not driving either. I am very well aware of who went that night and who drove and he was not the one...it wasn't even his car that they were in that night. So why would he be driving it??

Posted by: Jennifer Landry Location: Durant on May 1, 2008 at 12:21 AM
Wow, there are more responses on this story than the woman who killed a child. So, you all think you are right. Some nice comments, some stupid, either way you keep posting. Some one said earlier that i live in apt. wrong, a triplex, good assumption though. Most of you get on my nerves cause you are wrong, but cant except the truth, cause your education level is not up there...not judging just making fun of someone who said that about one of the people making comments early, I think you are all funny for saying stuff about my situation and others posting stuff, geeze hate on everyone mr. and mrs. perfect. Again, annonymous is getting on my nerves just put your name. Are you that scared of being judged, obviously you dont mind dishing it out...I just cant believe people!! I cant wait for something else to happen and most of you who just judge the people on the news. Not important enough, it makes you feel unimportant, ahh poor babies.

IS IT REALLY THAT NECESSARY TO TAKE SHOTS AT THE THE FIRST STRING QUARTERBACK!!! IF YOU THE PEOPLE OF THIS TOWN ONLY KNEW THE TRUTH THE CRAP DISPLAYED ON THE NEWS AND THE COMMENTS THAT HAVE BEEN POSTED WOULD BE ERASED FROM THIS WEBSITE. FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO DO NOT KNOW JUSTIN PTRUCHAS NAME IS NOT EVEN ON THE LEASE OF THAT APARTMENT. I TRULY BELIEVE THAT THIS YOUNG MAN OR AS SOME OF YOU IGNORANT PEOPLE REFER TO HIM AS AN ADULT WILL BE TAKEN CARE OF IN THE "COURT OF LAW". SO STOP THE NONSENSE OF THESE REDICULOUS COMMENTS WHEN NOBODY ON THIS PAGE KNOWS THE TRUE STORY BEHIND WHAT HAS BEEN SAID TO BE A "POT PARTY BUST" INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE WHAT A JOKE. THE GUY HAS NEVER PERTAKEN IN ANY DRUG AFFILIATION. WRONG PLACE WRONG TIME IS A CORRECT AND A LEGITMATE COMMENT. BUT THE TRUTH WILL COME OUT. AND THOSE OF YOU MAKING THESE COMMENTS WILL BE LOOKED UPON AS FOOLS. THE MAN KNOWS THE LORD AND MADE A MISTAKE FOR BEING THERE BUT I TRULY BELIEVE THAT ALL OF US AT SOME POINT HAVE MADE MISTAKES.

Hey "tired". I don't think I said drinking was illegal, and thanks for the lesson on the legal drinking age. MY POINT was that she has apparently fried some brain cells. Most people who had FELONY drug charges filed on them earlier in the week most likely wouldn't think going out drinking(NUMEROUS SHOTS) would be the wisest decision. By the way, not sure which one was driving, her or Justin stephens (another guy that got busted with her), but I can promise you that neither needed to be.

These comments bring tears to my eyes. Yes these young adults made a mistake and they should pay the consequences. I think it is very sad to see grown adults make personal attacks on these young adults. Imagine if they were your kids! Even if your children do not do any kind of drugs, if they got into trouble would you want adults attacking them the way some of you have? Yes he is in the spot light because he is a Quarter Back and he should be making better decisions and not be so careless, but he is still a young man who has a lot to learn. They all have a lot to learn but I do not believe that these slanderous comments should be made considering they haven't been convicted of anything just yet. Let them move on without your harsh judgements. I agree with Sean in Amsterdam when he said make a difference in the world but loving these young adults instead of being filled with hate. Personally those of you filled with hate need a lot of help. Don't try to do God's work and judge. Let him.

I just dont understand why everyone thinks it's okay for any one of you to judge them. They are NOT DEALERS!!!! They are not idiots either. They know they are going to get into trouble bc they know they were smoking. However, intent to distribute should not be placed on Pitrucha or Landry it should be placed on the MOTHER WHO BROUGHT THE WEED WITH THE BABY!!!!!!!!! Im sure they are aware and have accepted the fact that they are going to get possession charges bc they were guilty of possession. All you other IDIOTS who think that they are high and mighty enough to cast judgement upon them will look like damn fools after their trials. YALL ARE NOT PERFECT PEOPLE! who are you to think that you can make mistakes or break the law but not them! It's just weed, it's not anything that anyone could die from. HAS ANYONE DIED FROM OVERDOSING ON WEED? I DONT THINK SO! We should be concentrating on harder drugs that can kill people rather than weed! Leave them alone and let them go to trial in peace

Posted by: Tired Location: Durant on Apr 29, 2008 at 11:36 PM
"SOSU student"...last time I checked...Jennifer going to bars and drinking was not illegal..she is 24...it is legal for her to drink...and another thing...did you actually see her driving??? If not, she could not have possibly got a DUI/DWI...Jen drinking is NOT ILLEGAL....

Posted by: Eric Location: Bonham on Apr 29, 2008 at 06:41 PM
I say Justin calls up Josh Howard this offseason an they have a great time........Pitrucha is not the only player who smokes weed but he got caught, thats just like a failing a drug test. No doubt he should be off the team

Me in Cenison, and Sean in (yea right)Amsterdam, you can tell BOTH of you are pot heads and idiots, corporate management my a@@.Neither of you have a diploma or a GED and it shows, if I 'm wrong PROVE it! I think you are both down by the river living in a blue van.baby arm.Pot is illegal, until it is not, people like Justin who get caught will have to pay the price. The School has rules and so does society.Break them and pay the price.Where is Cenison by the way?

Posted by: ANONYMOUS Location: WHITESBORO on Apr 29, 2008 at 04:56 PM
Hey Me, pot is bad for you and it does impair you. You are giving the fight of a typical illegal drug user. No matter how you want to look at it, it is illegal and it does impair your abilities. Your argument is ridiculous. And there are many people out their who have tried pot and they do know that it impairs you so get a life and quit trying make your illegal choices legal.

Judge ,i have wrote more than enought to rebuke your foul writings.I do win and i am a winner. You have to resort to taint personal attacks and to be honest it is quiet boring. You are full of yourself and full of mis information. It is one world one love Judge.Maybe try filling your heart with some love and a little less hate and maybe you could make a difference for the world. We are all diffirent and we are not always gonna agree but resorting to hate and personal attacks will not make the world a better place for me or you.Now maybe you should consider smoking cannabis, maybe it will fill you with the love you seem to be very in need of!!Don't knock it til you try it!!LOL

Judge, if I "argue online all day", what do you call what you're doing online? You would be shocked if everybody come "out of the closet". What do you do for a living, make millions for your boss? I do. I'm so sorry for you that you can't understand what I said.

Posted by: Judge Location: Dub on Apr 29, 2008 at 03:32 PM
Wow "me". A corporate manager pot-head of a very large company. Obviously you claim that because you can do it anonymously. Do you honestly expect us to believe that a corporate executive smokes pot and argues online all day? That company must be making millions with that kind of stellar leadership. Go roll yourself another fatty before you come down from your high and realize what a loser you are. Corporate management my $%^. I guess that company had no grammar requirements when they hired for that position. Go back and see if you can understand your own rambling because I certainly cannot.

JUDGE:No I have not tried drinking antifreeze because of the ingrediants in it, and it is man-made. (That's called common sense, something you don't seem to have). So are you are saying I don't have to have hands on experience to write a book on over-hauling motors even tho I don't know how? If there is a little thing called "research from experts" why are so many people getting severe side affects or dying from legal drugs etc. How can they be "experts" if they never tried it? You guys keep arguing but have absolutely no ammunition. You experts sure like to debate from the comments you keep making. Where am I today? Maybe I can spell it for you to understand. C O R P O R A T E or another word M A N A G E M E N T of a very large company.

I'm guessing that Jennifer "the preacher" hasn't learned a lesson about anything. She was running around Durant bars all weekend. What's next Jennifer.....a DUI or worse?

Posted by: Judge Location: Dub on Apr 29, 2008 at 01:08 PM
Hey me in "Cenison", Have you ever tried drinking antifreeze? Then how could you possibly know it was bad if you don't have personal experience with it? You dork. You don't have to have hands on experience to know if something is good or bad for you. There is a little thing called research where you can learn from experts rather than taking the word of some pothead stating his case online. Given the choice I think I will stick with the experts. You guys keep arguing but have absolutely no ammunition. You dopers sure like to debate. Too bad the marijuana drained your brain and you have no ammunition left. Again I ask, this time to "me from Cenison", where has pot gotten you. Surely you are a brain surgeon by now, right?

Posted by: Me Location: Cenison on Apr 29, 2008 at 10:53 AM
I agree with Sean. He knows from exrerience not like you nuts that the only thing you know about pot is what some other nut wrote about it in a book. They have never experienced it either. Why do you people know so much about somthing you have never had a personal experience with. That would be like me writing a book on how to over-haul a car motor when I don't even know how to change the spark plugs.I love it when people say they don't like a certain food when they have never put it in their mouth. NO ONE can say what something does or doesn't do if they don't have personal experience on the subject. Pot doesn't make people do bad things. If someone does bad things while they are smoking it's because they were that way to begin with. They are bad not the drug.

Sean from Amsterdumb, Only someone with no ability to debate in an intelligent manner declares himself the "winner". It is a feable and last gasp attempt to end an argument when you know you cannot win. You refused to answer my question showing that you have no answer. Like all other pot heads I have ever dealt with your reasoning only makes sense to you. Everyone else can see the truth. You can continue to convnce yourself that pot is okay but we see where it got you. Btw I never said pot had no useful purposes. My argument is that it should remain a controlled substance and not become legal. Since you are so educated about the medical benefits of pot I am sure that is the only reason you take it. Right? You must have pressure on your retinae that you are relieving, right? Or are you just a dopehead? I think everyone on this board already knows the answer to that one. :)

FYI: The girl with the child is not losing her child, she is only being charged with a misdemeanor. No child endangerment charges have been filed. It is a fact that she was the one with the over abundance of marijuana, she should be the one with the intent to distribute charge. The others with the misdemeanors were not there to buy marijuana, all of these people involved are friends..it is not a dealer/user relationship. The 2 being charged do not sell marijuana, it is only being accused that they do.

it seems like half of you are just really upset cause your dealers just got busted...you just describe how nice they are and how nice their apartment was. i imagine not considering i am under the impression drug dealers tend to have a pretty nice cash flow. i mean most of you sound so ignorrant because youre clearly just really upset that you have to go somewhere else to buy pot from. 4 people went to an apartment to smoke/buy marajuana 2 were smoking/selling marajuana 1 endangered her infant 1 has been busted for this 3 times in the last 9 months all 6 are in jail 1 is losing custody of her child 1 lost his spot on a small school football team 2 committed felonies and were named in the press 4 commited misdemeanors and were not named in the press(not cause of rich or powerful daddys) bottom line everyone got what they deserved for doing what they did

Posted by: SOSU Alum Location: Durant on Apr 28, 2008 at 02:14 PM
The apartments are located in between Plum and University. The apartments that everyone on here keeps talking about the apartments directly behind Love's on First Street...these are not the same apartments. I am not sure what used to be there in its place, maybe just a vacant lot or an old house but the apartments are pretty much brand new. And to "WOW! Again.." the people who did call the cops lived in Apartment 3 of the tri-plex..it is definately a fact that they are the ones who called, and I agree they wouldn't be calling the cops if they too were "meth heads" or whatever..

To the almighty idiot pot-head, Okay. Your argument is that since alcohol kills more people than pot then pot is okay. I can see how that line of thinking turned you into a doper. Hey, guess what? Drinking brake fluid kills less people than marijuana each year so obviously we should make drinking brake fluid common practice also. Don't compare two evils to prove that one is less evil than the other. They are both dangerous and have terrible consequences if abused. My suspicion is that you partake in all the above as evidenced by your sketchy logic. The fact that you mention the word education in your post is most ironic. I am really impressed that you even got the spelling correct. Do you care to enlighten us with how pot has made your life so special? Am I sensing a run for the White House?

The wacky weed has taken hold of what is left of your pickled brain. Just because it is a natural substance does not make is safe or smart. What an absolutely idiotic argument that is. Just wondering, those of you that are calling the apartments that this occured in the "crack head apartments", did you actually watch the news story? They did not show those "crack head" apartments. They showed a tri-plex that is located on the 1300 BLOCK of 2nd Avenue..those apartments you are talking about are in the 1200 BLOCK of 2nd Avenue. Those apartments SHOULD be raided, there are like 20 people outside, gunshots have been fired over there, arguing in the middle of the night has also occured. The apartments that are in the news story are maybe 2 years old...and not a crack house.

First, a comment to "Anonymous" from Whitesboro: I would really like to know where you are getting your information about this complex being a "meth lab?" I know the residents of 2 out of the 3 apartments and neither are meth labs. And my sources tell me that the residents in the 3rd apartment are the ones that made the "anonymous call" to the police saying they smelled marijuana. Now call me crazy, but if THEY were meth heads then why would THEY be calling the police over to THEIR complex??? I don't know...maybe they did a really good job hiding all their paraphernalia that day... And for Chili's Customer: Really??? Your are chastising Chili's for employing "drug dealers and users?" Really?? I'm sure that if Jen was your server that night, then she did a hell of a job and it never crossed your mind that she could have this "secret." Do you walk around with your life story written across your face or something because I sure as hell don't! But enjoy McDonalds and Casa!

Honestly that comment about sosu recriuting from a base house is low. The only reason you all are sweating us is because we play football, and all the mess other players across the world get into. Football players are human too, smoking weed is wrong ,people make mistakes. Most of you talking trash on here need a life. You all act like your perfect and have never broken the law. Grow up and realize he isn't grown up. Now if he didnt play football for sosu would you still be talkin the way u are now? no its because he is the starting QB there is no excuse for his actions and his punishment is too harsh but some punishment needs to be placed but not indefinite suspension. Keep trash talking it shows your ignorance.

I thought Chili's was a good place to eat. Now I see things differently if they employ drug users and dealers. I know now not to take my children there where they have people that use and sell drugs. And I will never donate money to SOSU again if they bring this drug user and dealer to the football team!

Since I know so much about my good friend Pitrucha, I would like to tell the world a little information...He sat out the 07' season b/c he didn't go to class OR make grades as people call it. Well ever since 08' rolled around the corner he has gotten his act right and responsibly taken care of his businesss in the classroom to get back on the field and lead the Storm to their Championship ways. A's & B's were on his Academic report card to coaches!! Bet yall didnt know that one!! Still want to judge this man? Maybe he was associated with a bad situation Sunday night, but from what I know is he has hired a very powerful lawyer that will recognize the truth and clear Pitrucha's name. This is a time where the 6 accused need all the help and comfort from their families & friends.

Some of you people are just flat out retarded. If he wants to do stuff like this in the 'offseason' why should that effect his ability to actually play. It's not like he failed a drug test during the football season right? As far as legalizing marijuana... Let's just think about what causes more fatalities year after year... Is it pot or alcohol? And which one is legal? Hmmm seems pretty stupid if you ask me. And trust me it's not because people don't smoke pot and drive. The great Texas Bible Belt, can't wait to get away...

You guys are so funny,Everyone of you putting down cannabis are so mis imformed are you so naive that you believe all the us drug admin. propaganda over cannabis.while you are swallowing all those pills made with opium think about that poison. Why is it everytime you have a pain or complaint the doctors there give you a pill, come on open your mind up and see the wrong in that.Everyone of you take that poison and do not lie about it.The answer to all this is tolerance,i could care less what you do with your body that is a personal choice and since when does my body not belong to me.Same goes for you as well and also others. It is a personal choice to use cannabis and NO ONE has the right to tell me i can't not smoke a plant that grows naturally with no chemicals or additives. So next time you swallow that zanayx, oxy cotton,or whatever other opium based pill it is,think about it because that is the true poison reuning the society.

Well you all are still just posting your comments with no knowledge of what is going on. please stop because you are inflaming a situation that has no need to. But if you insist I have to tell you that if you are going to post anonymous that your opinion doesnt matter cause you are not willing to take credit for it and therefore dont deserve for it to be heard. Just like some "mob mentalitly" just agree and exagerate what you have "HEARD"! Sheep, guess you just post comments in your down time cause you heard something that might possibly make you an important person with your OPINION. Wow, what has this place become where the worst is the best so called news to publish. You talked to neighbors and a roomie, WOW, what real reporters getting both sides and investagate the truth?? I am amazed at how everyone just takes what they hear to heart, There is a cure for sin, people can live through most anything expecpt other people. Just wish you would all shut up until the end of this.

You people making excuses are idiots! I, too, have smoked pot and done other drugs in my life. I am not proud of it, nor do I continue to live in that manner. However, I do recall that when I was living that way, "making pot legal" was the same philosophy I had. Bottom line is that it is an illegal drug. We live in a society that is easily influenced. If life has to be enjoyed only through drugs - then why live? Don't make excuses and let him serve his time.

Well with Pitrucha's latest arrest, he will be able to try out for the next "The Longest Yard" QB spot! Its funny every time something happens with this guy he pulls the "I found Jesus card". Be a man and be accountable for your actions. It's going to be hard working on your drop step in your new 6x6 cell with your new wide-out Bubba. Good luck getting reinstated! P.S. maybe the court can assign him a tutor to help out his academic struggles, especially with all this free-time he is going to have.

Posted by: SOSU Alum 2004 Location: Oklahoma City on Apr 26, 2008 at 09:34 PM
Pitrucha should never be able to associate his name with Southeastern ever again. That piece of trash is a disgrace to the Southeastern football family. As a former player I take it as a slap in the face for what this "PUNK" did. This punk has no clue what it means to be a "Savage." The Southeastern football family has former players like, Drew Beard, who might I add is risking his life for his country in Iraq, Brian Odom, who is an assistant coach at the University of Arizona, Chris Sawyer, who is the defensive coordinator at Shawnee High School in Oklahoma and several more. These three guys showed what it meant to be a Savage. Justin Pitrucha has no character and no class and should never again be able to associate his name with Southeastern Oklahoma State University!!

Sean- geez o Pete, do they let you drink the bongwater as well? If you don't like the US (who, BTW, bailed out your pitiful little backwater twice last century from German occupation), fine. Stay there in your oversize drug den. The fewer stoners like you we have to deal with, the better. Anybody trying to justify this guy's action by saying cannibis isn't harmful is either naive or stupid, or both. Last I checked, according to our laws possession of pot is illegal. **** the Netherlands.

This is for everyone that keeps calling this grown man a kid, "he's not a kid people! He's a man." And he should act like a man and face what he has gotten himself into.

Posted by: Sean Location: Amsterdam,The Netherlands on Apr 26, 2008 at 03:10 PM
cannabis is not a criminal offense,it is a personal health choice. It should be decriminalized and taken out of criminals hands.it should be taxed and controlled and grown by people who love the plant and know it's healing powers.I know i will never live to see it in America but maybe my kids and grandkids will. And chris i have smoked cannabis for 20 years i even moved to a part of the world so i could do it,and everything you wrote is correct, just ashame more people don't say it as well!!!!!

Posted by: John Location: Nicholson on Apr 26, 2008 at 02:32 PM
I don't know why people keep bringing the Bible up in all this. No one here is calling them sinners, we are calling them drug using losers. To have a kid in the apartment is a disgrace and I hope, though I doubt it will happen, that DHS will take the kid away so maybe it will have a chance at a future; not a chance to become a loser like the rest of these people that were caught. I will cast as many stones as I wish at these people. I have never done drugs, not even one time. Stop trying to change the story by saying all this BS about the Bible, judging others, blah blah blah. Fact is us clean people CAN call these drug dealing and using losers exactly what they are: totally irresponsible criminals. Drugs are NOT legal in this country, so if you break the law you should be punished according to the law.

that is ridiculous, these people want to legalize mind enhancing drugs

Posted by: Me Location: sherman on Apr 26, 2008 at 11:58 AM
The whole issue is being blown up just because he is a football player. Whether you choose to admit it or not, there are tons of kids in college doing the same thing every day. Yes, it is illegal but in some places in our country they would have gotten a ticket and that would have been it. We spend too much time and effort prosecuting people that make a personal choice to smoke marijuana. I don't think it's fair for alot to you to persecute someone you have probably never met. We need to spend more time stopping meth and other dangerous drugs other than worrying about someone smoking a little weed.

Posted by: Chris Location: Keller on Apr 26, 2008 at 09:40 AM
It is a college kid smoking weed and got caught, big deal. By the way, pot should be legal, taxed, and regulated so cops could worry about real crime and necessary funds spent fighting "Pot" could go to programs like, I don't know, schools or community development. I want to know how many of you 35 to 40 year olds on here passing judgement on this kid smoked a little weed in your college years? Does anyone want to be a man on here and admit they are no different than this kid.

Posted by: Shocked Citizen Location: Durant on Apr 26, 2008 at 04:48 AM
Why are only FOUR of the SIX people involved being shown? Why isn't the focus more on the MOTHER WHO BROUGHT THE BABY with intent to SELL? Why is it Ms. Landry is getting blammed for the child being present? Last I knew, it was the responsibility of the MOTHER to care for HER CHILD. But it must be jucier news for the spot light to be on the QB of the local college. What about the fact that the son of a City Council Member was also present? Why is the spot light only placed on Ms. Landry and Mr. Pitrucha? This is absolutley insane that people around here feel so strongly about this to slander their characters without even knowing them first. DO NOT JUDGE

Posted by: Heather Location: Durant on Apr 26, 2008 at 04:32 AM
First of all, I don't know why people are judging them. ALL SINS are equal in the eyes of God ladies and gentlemen. Everyone else is just lucky their sin wasn't braodcast on the news for the "Bible Belt" to see. No one can judge except for the good Lord Almighty and none of you is Him! So those stones yall are casting, need to stop getting thrown! If everyone is so concerned with their lives and this situation, then why not offer words of encouragement? Let them know they can accept their consequences and make better decisions in the future. Offer help! Everyone is so quick to judge! Don't worry, they know who REALLY cares about their futures. There is so much more to this story. THERE ARE NO METH LABS THERE!! So how about all of you self-righteous people just jump off your high horse and come back down to the rest of us. I guess it's easier to tell them what they've done wrong than offer help. They will get through this just fine. Thank u who have encouraged them to do better.

Posted by: Sean Location: Amsterdam,The Netherlands on Apr 26, 2008 at 04:25 AM
Only cannabis is legal here,no other drugs. So keep your facts straight and quit poluting the blog with lies and propaganda. The fact remains is the war on drugs in america is a failure and you must look to other countries for help.It is hard to admittt you live in such a failure for a country but it is so true. And don't worry i will stay here and watch while america goes to the birds.there is no meth here and look at that problem you guys have there. It is a never ending battle for you guys and drugs,so keep up what you are doing and you will get the same results you are getting.Plain and simple!!

Posted by: Heather Location: Chilis Worker on Apr 26, 2008 at 03:57 AM
For the cowardly Chilis worker who cannot state who they are, how dare you act like you are concerned with what happens to Jen. Wow, I thought that we were all close at Chilis and that we could come to one another with concerns but I guess I was wrong!! Instead of confronting Jen for the true story and ALL the facts, you are just going to assume. Jen is a hard worker and a good person, she made a bad decision with some friends and may have to pay some serious consequences and she is aware of that. It's okay because Jen knows who really cares and who she can really count on I can tell you that.

Posted by: Carrie on Apr 26, 2008 at 03:31 AM
Dear Chili's worker, if you are SO VERY CONCERNED with Jen's business, tell us your name. Grow some balls and claim your opinions. DON'T BE A COWARD! You are her co-worker for crying out loud! If you are not on her side (which is just fine of course), KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT and HAVE SOME DEGREE OF RESPECT. I mean, if you really just can't stand it, and you have to talk trash, TALK IT TO HER. You work together, it'll be convenient.

Posted by: SOSU Alumni 2004 Location: Durant on Apr 26, 2008 at 02:56 AM
If I remember right just how things worked on campus when I was a student, the administration is not going to go out on a limb for this piece of trash. I doubt the the football program will either. They have already dismissed him from the team as the story says and they won't take him back if there are other future QB's coming in from high school or transfers. SOSU is too good for this moron. And Justin is no Drew Beard!

Posted by: Attorney on Duty Location: durant on Apr 25, 2008 at 09:49 PM
All the facts are twisted in some way. Two sides to every story, usually the truth is in the middle. I'm not going to be ignorant like all the idiots on here down grading people that are still presumed innocent until proven guilty, but I will say that Pitrucha's future is deff. on the line! He's a great Quarterback and SOSU is nothing without him. From the rumors that I'm hearing going around I'd like to set some things straight. 1) Jen & Justin have never been in trouble with the law... EVER. 2) 3-6 arressted have been charged with the same thing in the past. 3) No meth or Cocaine was present in the house. 4) The woman with the kid present is a SNITCH and should be hit w/ the INTENT...........................now you have a little facts from the streets!

Posted by: Anonymous Location: Whitesboro on Apr 25, 2008 at 09:31 PM
Typical answers from typical drug users WOW and Jennifer. I am sure the apartment was very nicely kept, meth users tend to skitz out and when they do they have to have something to do those long hours they are awake, like cleaning! And they may be nice people, lots of drug users are nice people and hold very upstanding jobs. But the facts are the facts. When your caught with drugs, its very hard to say your innocent!! And to have a child in the house when its going on, well, whoever the parent is, you should be ashamed of yourself and never have contact with that child again. It sickens me when people throw kids into their disgusting drug use. His mug shot looks like a smarta@# who is very proud of his life. He doesnt deserve to ever play football again and its too bad money was wasted on this low life trashy person!!!!! And by the way, this is the internet not the courts so we dont have to abide by innocent until proven guilty.

Posted by: Durant Resident Location: Durant, Ok on Apr 25, 2008 at 08:47 PM
I think that everyone is blowing this out of perspective! I have met Justin P. and seen him play many times, he is an amazing guy and athlete! He was caught in the wrong place at the wrong time! For everyone that is bad mouthing him, you've obviously never met him because your foot would be in your mouth right now. As for those Alum of SOSU, he's done more for the football program and school alone than you've probably ever done! These allegations are pathetic and everyone who has something bad to say should be ashamed! And for the person that said that the complex is trash; take a look around Durant... the whole town is falling apart, buildings, houses, roads! I pray that this phenominal QB will still have a life after all this and it wont hurt his career because people don't know what they're talking about!

Posted by: WOW! Location: Durant, OK on Apr 25, 2008 at 06:36 PM
WOW! Are all of you serious? Jen was right in saying that none of you know the facts. The apartment where this happened is NOT a meth lab, never has been. It is actually a nice, very well kept place. And as far as the people who live there(in this particular apt.), they are just as nice. They do happened to be friends of mine, so yea, I am somewhat partial. However, I do think the public and media are overreacting. Drive by the place, see that the actual apartments are not "trashy", talk to one of them, see that they are fun-loving, hardworking, friendly, DECENT, people--that now have this terrible "title" following them. It's unfortunate that Pitrucha didn't stop and think about the consequences, but now he is paying for it. It's not your job to cast him into hell and say all those terrible things about him and the others involved. Remember... "No one is listening until you make a mistake." -Anonymous

Posted by: Chili's worker on Apr 25, 2008 at 06:12 PM
Jen: You were caught in your own house!! You have control over that situation. The worst part is a small child was there that didn't have a choice in the matter. You are responisible for the choices you make and the consequenses of those decisions. You're a nice person and I hope you learn from this mistake.

Jennifer, please tell us what "the real situation," is? You were all at the apartments getting stoned, you got busted. So please tell me, what points did I or KXII get wrong here? Second, your little stint as a lawyer on here was a pretty sad attempt. You don't have to be a drug dealer to get an intent to distribute charge. And no, I like most people DONT get caught in the wrong place at the wrong time BECAUSE WE DONT PUT OURSELVES IN THAT POSITION. I don't post comments here because I am perfect, I post because I am sick of what this town is. The trash that was busted at this party is what makes Durant so bad; and yes, I do know some of you personally. The outcome of all this will probably be nothing for at least one of you that was caught. The one that thinks his family owns this town. It's sad, but money does negate justice in this town. We all have lives, thats why we have computers and internet access, most of us work for a living and don't get high and sell drugs.

Can you not control who comes in and what they do while they are there? And I am NOT gullable! I am not just going by the news story. Durant is a small town and you hear things. Not to mention you live in a meth/drug stricken apartment complex. If the "truth will eventually come out" why don't you say it now?? I do have faith, faith that this case will NOT be thrown out and you will have to face the consequences. In the meantime, I will pray for you as well. To Sean from the Netherlands- when you sober up, take a very good look at where you are living- below sea level. Also, perhaps to you in far-off Holland, cannibis may be OK because you say so, but guess what? It is illegal here in the US. Maybe that makes us backward to you- fine, stay in your little waterlogged country. This bozo screwed up and blew a chance some high school athletes would give their firstborn away to have- a starting varsity position on a college football team, an athletic scholarship, and a possibility of either furthering your education, or maybe even going to the NFL or CFL or Arena Football. Instead, he seems to have made some bad decisions, and shot himself in the foot, metaphorically speaking. I'm not gonna poke fun at SOSU for this, because I know it unfortunately happens at most, if not all, colleges. If he is found guilty, send him home.

Perhaps your attitude is the reason your country is so infested with addicts, and your government doesn't have the balls to lethally inject those who commit heinous murders. Wheather you guys wanna admitt it or not there is a very large amount of people that smoke cannabis. Most just keep it on the down low. With the money that is spent on cannabis control you could do so much more to help your community. If you never open your mind then you are blind to see that the war on cannabis has failed.Other states are showing the way to control and tax cannabis sales.Take a look at Califrnia and the progress they have made with cannabis. They have opened up millions of dollars to go toward other well needed projects. For alot of us cannabis is a medicine for others just a nice recreational smoke.I will admitt this story does nothing to help the issue of cannabis legalization.Seems maybe this young man needs to be a bit more humble and not so cocky, that only makes other cannabis users look bad.It is time for America to change and follow the lead of california and progress instead of regress,Your 2 most harmful drugs are tobacco and alcohol,THINK ABOUT THAT!!!!

Those kids (and one adult) deserve the punishment they received. The only reason that the Synthia girl is upset is because her friend got arrested. If you break the law and get caught...you should be punished. Plain and simple, end of story. The place looks like ghetto trash...if I were a cop I'd search the entire building. Granted this looks bad for SE and its' football team, but I would imagine they would cut him loose if they could. There's a little thing called innocent until proven guilty. It appears most Americans have forgotten this (i.e. the Duke Lacrosse Team). If he's guilty, I'm quite sure he'll be sent on his way, and if he’s innocent, well, the program will probably reevaluate his actions, his scholarship and his roll on the 2008 team. I feel bad for the 100 good kids in that program that received a black eye from his actions.

I am wondering why DPD doesn't arrest the other residents of this apartment complex. Everyday I drive by this place and everyday there is at least 20 crackheads outside. It is the new villa in Durant. I am sure the police could have busted a few meth labs while they were there.

Is he so high he cannot keep his eyes open for the picture? A stoner (and don't forget it says he had intent to distribute- that means he is a dealer) and an academic failure, but "his status may be re-evaluated at a later date"? Man they must be desperate for players. Maybe the coach should make a recruiting trip to the local meth-labs looking for talent.

Whatching this last night on chl 12 was sickening. To hear that woman go on about how these "kids" should be left alone, "all" kids do do this, everyone did/does this when they were younger. I want everyone to know that not *all* college kids smoke pot, drink &/or do drugs. Nor are they "forced to sit out the season due to academic reasons." If these are "kids" they shouldn't be in college. SOSU should kick this one to the curb - and not tarnish SOSU's name. This is one time I will agree with Mork/Mindy.

Why did the Durant Democrat and KXII each fail to mention that the Durant PD also arrested a Durant Council member's child on this investigation? The public needs this information to reaffirm that any violator is accountable for his/her actions. Kudos to Durant P.D. Shame on you KXII and the Durant Democrap.

as a former SOSU Grad. is this REALLY the type of person you want to be the starting Qb for your football team coach..cut your losses and get rid of this loser...

This trash needs to be kicked off the team for good. By his mug shot, this guy doesn't care about himself or his teammates or SOSU. As for Ms Anderson, not everyone acted like an idiot when they were young. She's probably taking up for him because he's been her main supplier until now!

I can't believe the reaction from the neighbor named Penny. No, not everyone engaged in such behavior when they were young, and I am appalled that she suggested that their behavior is acceptable.Does she not understand the implications of such actions that it can have on the person and the impact it can have on family? It's attitudes like that which makes our community a disgrace.

What a waist of a scholarship. Some kid could be doing something with his life, but no. Way to take full advantage of the situation.

Guess that scholarship wasn't covering all of his expenses, eh? Missed last season because of academic reasons??? Are you kidding me? It's really simple stupid..GO TO CLASS! I wouldn't leave my "back door" open for this loser, let alone let him back on the team. There are a lot of non sack slingers out there who are capable of taking over his glorious 6-4 position. geez!

"Academic reasons?" Gee...everyone knows that marijuana use doesn't effect your grades...must be something else...
