As the competition gets stronger at the JUCO World Series, the Grayson Vikings just continue to play better. Grayson beat Shelton State in a run rule, 13-2, in a battle of tournament unbeatens.

Grayson and Shelton were both 2-0 going into the winners bracket game. After trailing 2-1 early, the Vikings scored 12 unanswered runs to win the game in just five innings. They scored 3 in the 3rd, 4 in the 4th, and 5 in the 5th, making it an early exit for baseball fans in Grand Junction.

The Vikings advance to play Central Arizona on Thursday night at 8:30 central time. Grayson is now 3-0 in tournament play. Teams must lose twice to be sent home.
