Ray Richards led the Storm to the practice field for the start of football practice with a new quarterback.

Richards told KXII that he will red shirt last year's starting signal caller, Justin Pitrucha in favor of senior Kolby Williams.

Pitrucha led the Storm to a 6-4 record last season. He was also the conference's third most accurate passer. He finished third in the league with 20 touchdown passes.

Richards did not offer a reason for red-shirting what many feel is his top offensive player. Sources indicate that there are academic issues involved.

Southeastern practiced for the first time on Tuesday night. The season opener is scheduled for August 30th against Northwestern Oklahoma State in Durant.
