Texas freshman linebacker Tevin Jackson is
ineligible to play and can't enroll in school because he has not
yet been cleared by the NCAA.
The university said in a statement Thursday that an issue with
Jackson's high school transcript has kept him from being ruled
University officials "will continue to pursue getting the issue
resolved in order for Jackson to enroll." But if the situation
isn't resolved quickly, he'll be unable to enroll this semester and
won't be eligible to play for the Longhorns.
The 6-foot-2, 230 Jackson, from Garland, was an All-State at
linebacker in 2009.
