DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern Oklahoma State University quarterback Justin Pitrucha will have to wait a little longer to appear in front of a judge.

The 21-year-old Pitrucha was arrested on April 22 on charges of possession of marijuana and intent to distribute. He was scheduled to appear in front of a judge Thursday morning for a preliminary hearing, but it has been pushed back.

Last week, SOSU head football coach Ray Richards told KXII Sports that Pitrucha would be allowed to reclaim a roster spot if he clears up his charges and satisfy requirements set forth by the team.

Pitrucha is scheduled to appear in court again on August 7 at 8:45 a.m.

Just to comment back to the person who says that 80% of college students do drugs. You are sooo wrong! I have a child in college who plays sports and he has not been in trouble or been involved in drugs. Dont know what kind of family you come from but most families dont approve of drugs and the majority of college students go to college for an education without drugs. You have serious issues. This guy should not be allowed to participate in any sports! There have been players kicked off of other college teams for less than what he has done. SOSU is obviously a college where I would not want any of my other children going. Its obviously a haven for allowing drug addicts to participate in sports. Shame on you.

Funny thing, He's still listed on the roster on the SE website. Guess they really never kicked him off in the first place. I bet he's in the first game of the season.

If looks made you guilty then this photo make this man guilty. Unfortunately for some of you, there is still due process. If he i found guilty, sen him packing and to jail. If he is found not guilty, do you still want to punish him?

Things never change, Earnest Hunter was a known criminal and Morris Sloan worked him in anyway. Earnest shot at teamates in the hall in his dorm and that was covered up and played down by Sloan. I am so glad he made it to the NFL.....NOT, he made it for about two years before even the NFL was tired of his criminal ways. Coaches get blinders on when it comes to talent and it is hard to blame them when they are supposed to win or they will not last long as well. Don't ask the president of SOSU or the AD, they will say what ever and then in the end they will still be about winning. Coach should remove him.

I CANNOT BELIEVE THE COACHES AT SOSU WOULD EVEN CONSIDER LETTING HIM PLAY AND STAY ON THE TEAM!!! LOOK AT WHAT EXAMPLE YOU WILL BE SETTING FOR ALL THE KIDS INCLUDING YOUR OWN!!! YOU SHOULD LET SOMEONE ELSE PLAY THAT IS STANDING ON THE SIDELINES,MAKING THEIR GRADES AND NOT BEING A POT HEAD!!! I UNDERSTAND GIVING SOMEONE A SECOND CHANCE BUT MAYBE AFTER A YEAR OF BEING OFF THE TEAM, MAKING HIS GRADES AND PASSING DRUG SCREENINGS, MAKE HIM PROVE HIMSELF!!!

Maybe KXII should interview the Athletic Director and the President and see how they feel about the shadow that's been cast on their department and their university!

Let's all get behind Justin and pray that he is found not guilty. This way he can focus on "winnin bawl games." And we all know that's the most important thing. If you have a college age daughter, you should encourage her to date him!

I agree with Get an Education. School does not exist for the purpose of having sports. It is nice for some kids to have, but the reason for being there is to get an education. I see the parents all going nuts fighting over whose baby is the best in sports. I have yet to see one make the pros. I have seen many become dropout, unemployed, losers. And, I don't know who the guy is who thinks 80% of college students do drugs is, but he was hanging with the wrong crowd. None of my friends in college did drugs. Oh, we knew some that did, but they didn't last long!
