Pitrucha dismissed from Southeastern Football Team

Just one day after making a plea deal in the courtroom, Justin Pitrucha has been dismissed from the Southeastern football team for the entire season.

Pitrucha was one of five people arrested for marijuana possession back in April. He had his day in court yesterday, resulting in probation and no jail time. That appeared to be the first step toward being reinstated to the team. But Southeastern decided today to part ways with their signal caller. Pitrucha missed all of the 2007 season due to academic reasons. He will now miss all of 2008 following this incident.

Here is the Official SOSU Statement Regarding Justin Pitrucha:

After reviewing the situation concerning Justin Pitrucha, we have determined that he will not be a member of the football program at Southeastern Oklahoma State University this year.

This was a very difficult decision and one that was not taken lightly. We certainly wish Justin the best and are confident that he will be successful in his future endeavors.

At Southeastern, we hold our student-athletes to very high standards and expectations. The bottom line is that we have acted in what we believe to be the best interests of our student-athletes, our program and our university.

Mr Puff, WOW. You are the poster boy for idiots. This guy not only got caught, but it was within a school zone!! HOW DUMB CAN YOU BE?? Plus, I would rather still be paying for my car and working a REAL JOB rather than having to constantly look over my shoulder.

Funny that you don't hear about any other football players when they get arrested for drugs. Someone should do some research and see who else has court charges pending.

Was this decision about dismissing Pitrucha made before or after Bo White decided he didn't want to stand on the sidelines at OU, and decided to take his scholarship at SOSU??

you guys are missing it they reported that..he will not be a memeber of the football program this year no where it is stated that he was dimissed from the college..it is probably due to all the bad press that sosu was recieving over this situation..but i bet my bottom dollar that this guy will be the starting Qb for sosu next year...since his probabtion will be over with before the start of next year (this is if he doesn't screw up again..write it down you heard it here first this guy WILL be back on the team next year..
