DURANT, Okla. ― Two Southeastern Oklahoma State University football players were arrested over the weekend accused of assault and burglary at a Durant home.

Andrew Harvey, 19, and Justin Cordova, 18, were at a residence in the 700 block of North 10th Avenue just after midnight Saturday night, reportedly uninvited, when they started attacking everyone inside the residence Saturday night.

Durant police say at this time the motive appears to stem from one of Harvey’s past relationships. Two people assaulted were taken to the emergency room for head injuries.

Harvey and Cordova are currently in the Bryan County Jail.

I know both drew and cordova and they are no where close to the type to just go up in a house and purposely hurt someone. They were DEFENDING themselves and this is absolutly rediculous that they were arrested. I think it should be ivestigated further and the true person at fault arrested.

its funny to read all these comments from people who dont know what they are talking about and accuse them because they play fb. I know both of them and I heard what really happened and I think they were justified for DEFENDING themselves. I know they werent just looking for a fight. Dont judge if you dont know the whole truth.

SOSU football players have been like this for years. When the Roadhouse was on s 9th, they would always come in and think that they ruled the place. I have been in several fights with the SOSU FB players years back. Last one I was in I broke the dude's knee cap. Needless to say his college and fb career was over. What they get for starting their stuff. More ppl just need to stand up and give them an old fashioned @$$ kicking.

I THINK OOTO IS A SICK PERSON THAT WANTS ATTENTION, WHY BECAUSE HE'S A FEW FRY'S SHORT OF A HAPPY MEAL. AS TO THE FOOTBALL GUYS AND THE FRAT GUYS NO ONE BUT THEM KNOW WHAT HAPPENED AND NEITHER SIDE WILL TELL THE WHOLE TRUTH, MAYBE THE COURTS WILL FIND OUT THE TRUTH. I HOPE THE BEST FOR BOTH SIDES AND FOR THE EX SHE NEEDS HER DADDY TO BUST HER BUT THE OLD FASHION WAY. AND FOR THE PERSON WHO SAID THE BOY CHEATED ON HER WHY DID SHE KEEP CALLING HIM IF SHE WAS SO HEART BROKEN OVER THIS? LESS LEAVE THE COACH AND THE SCHOOL OUT OF THIS. AND AS FAR THE DRINKING YOU CAN'T BLAME IT EITHER, IF YOU WENT TO COLLEGE YOU PROBLE DRANK IT'S A COLLEGE THING THATS WHEN YOUR FINDING OUT WHO YOU ARE. IT'S A YOUNG PERSONS THING TO BE IN FIGHTS WE DID WHEN WE WERE THERE AGE, LET KIDS BE KIDS SOMEONE DID CALL THE COPS EVERYTIME. THEY NEED TO GROW UP AS THEY WILL WITHOUT ALL YOU COMMENTS. I SUPPORT THE SOSU FOR A WONDER COLLEGE.

OOTO: You sir are an idiot! I don't believe your claims of a 'doppleganger'. I think that all of the OOTO posts are placed by one person to stir the pot of racism. You post something disgusting then post an apology then something disgusting then an apology... Claims of higher intelligence ring hollow once one has read your many posts. You have too much time and too little brains. The jig is up. You're yesterday's news.

Here is what I see, and from what I read they will go before a judge and at that time the judge will decide what should become of this situation, SOSU has a reputation to uphold, the young men if found guilty should be held accountable. But Durant is a "good old boy town" and we all know it. So it will really depend on SOSU if they want this to go away they have the pull to make it not as bad as it is. Does it look bad for the SOSU it does, but those young men are adults and should be treated as such and held accountable. We they put on those uniform they became representitives of that college and should act in a responsible manner, they didn't. I do agree with alumni assoc that if they were not SOSU players this would not of been an issue.....
