Suns take OU's Taylor Griffin with 48th pick

PHOENIX (AP) - The Phoenix Suns have taken Oklahoma forward Taylor Griffin in the second round of the NBA draft.

Griffin went 48th overall, 47 picks behind younger brother Blake Griffin, who was taken first overall by the Los Angeles Clippers.

Taylor Griffin, a 6-foot-7 forward, averaged 9.6 points and 5.8 rebounds per game last season for the Sooners.

He started every game for Oklahoma as a senior after being a part-time starter the previous two seasons.

    I was so glad to see Taylor get picked in the second round, he is just a great kid and an extremely hard worker. I hope he makes the team and can contribute and really show how good he is, his stats from college aren't eye popping but if you've ever watched him play he is a guy that you would love to have on your team. Good Luck Taylor, were going to miss you at Oklahoma!!!!!
