After the Bulldogs tied the game with unearned run in the bottom of the inning, SOSU rallied to go ahead 1-2 in the firth on a T.J. Ladd run scoring single.
Jordan Semore took the loss for the Savage Storm to fall to 2-5 on the season after coming on in relief of Clay Glover.
Glover last five innings, while giving up one unearned run on four hits. He struck eight and walked two.
Hoegh paced the Southeastern attack by going 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI, while Jared Johnson added a pair of hits.
Game 2 - Southwestern Oklahoma State chased two-time LSC North Pitcher of the Week C.J. Stewart in the first inning of Game 2 as the Bulldogs rolled to an 11-4 win to sweep Southeastern Oklahoma State Wednesday in the LSC North Division opener for both teams.
The Bulldogs put up five-spots in the first and third innings as Stewart, who fell to 2-1 on the season, lasted 2/3 of an inning after allowing five earned runs and three hits while walking four.
Dakota Streber paced a 13-hit Southwestern attack by going 3-for-4 with two runs and an RBI, while Lance Scales, Tristan Cummings and Kenny Hare added two hits each.
Aaron Upshaw provided the lion's share of the Savage Storm offense blasting a three-run, pinch-hit home run in the fourth inning. David Newell added a run scoring single in the seventh.
Newell paced the SOSU attack by going 2-for-3 at the plate.
Southeastern plays host to rival Central Oklahoma for a three-game set this weekend beginning with a double dip on Saturday beginning at 2 p.m. The teams play a nine-inning single game on Sunday at 1 p.m.
