Southeastern has been picked second in the Lone Star Conference North Division Preseason poll, while Erika Bernal has been named the LSC-N Preseason Player of the Year.
The Savage Storm trailed preseason favorite Midwestern State by a margin of 99-to-94 in the final voting.
SE also picked up six first place votes, while MSU had eight.
Central Oklahoma was picked third with 92 points and three first place votes.
Cameron came in fourth with 77 points, followed by Northeastern State and Southwestern Oklahoma State in a tie for fifth with 38 points, while East Central rounded out the division in seventh with 37 points.
Bernal, a senior outfielder from Arlington, Texas, was a South Central Regional and LSC North first-teamer and claimed North Newcomer of the Year honors in 2009.
She hit .330 with 68 hits including 14 homers and nine doubles, while starting all 66 games for the Savage Storm. Bernal had 47 RBI and scored a team-high 49 runs.
Southeastern opens the 2010 season on Feb. 2 with a double-header slated for 1 p. m. at the Southeastern Softball Field.
