Ellison's single in 10th leads Oklahoma past ORU

NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - Chris Ellison knocked a single off second baseman Colby Price's glove in the 10th inning, lifting Oklahoma to a 7-6 victory over Oral Roberts in the opening game of the Norman Regional on Friday.

Cody Reine, who tied the score at 6-6 with a solo homer in the eighth, singled with one out in the 10th and scored the winning run for the Sooners (45-15).

Trailing 5-1 after five innings, Oral Roberts (35-26) pulled ahead with a five-run sixth on Tyler Saladino's three-run homer and Seth Fermanek's two-run shot. Saladino's homer was his 18th of the season and Fermanek's was his 23rd.

Oklahoma starter Michael Rocha gave up five runs and seven hits in five innings. Oral Roberts' Bryce Smolen allowed five runs and six hits in his five innings.
