Keyes, Lusson homer in Texas' 4-2 win

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - Kevin Keyes and Kevin Lusson hit solo home runs in the fourth inning as Texas defeated Louisiana Lafayette 4-2 on Saturday night to take control of the Austin Regional.

Lusson and Keyes combined for five hits and drove in three of Texas' four runs. Starter Cole Green (11-1) gave up two earned runs on six hits while striking out five.

Louisiana-Lafayette (38-21) cut Texas' lead to one with a sacrifice fly in the eighth. But with runners on first and second and one out, Chance Ruffin got back-to-back strikeouts to end the inning. Ruffin (6-1) earned his 14th save, striking out the last five batters he faced.

Texas (48-11) added to its lead in the ninth on Russell Moldenhauer's RBI double that scored pinch-runner Paul Montalbano.
