Sept. 5, 1993, when they were ranked 24th after opening the season
with a 42-39 win over then-No. 25 Fresno State.
Baylor (6-2, 3-1 Big 12) held off Kansas State 47-42 on
homecoming weekend Saturday behind Robert Griffin's 404 yards
passing and Jay Finley's school-record 250 rushing yards.
The Bears go to Austin on Saturday night to face Texas. The
Longhorns dropped out of the poll for the second time this year
after a home loss to Iowa State.
