The East Central University soccer team will play eight non-conference and eight home games for the 2013 season, as they have announced their schedule.
The Lady Tigers, who finished 4-11-4 overall and 4-4-2 in the Great American Conference in 2012, will start the season with a trip to Pueblo, Colo., for two matches. ECU will open the year against Colorado State-Pueblo, Friday, Sept. 6 at 7 p.m. The Lady Tigers will stay in Pueblo to face the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, Sunday, Sept. 8.
ECU will then return to Lady Tiger Field to host Northeastern State, Tuesday, Sept. 10 at 4 p.m., in the first home match of the season.
ECU will also face non-conference competition from Missouri Southern State (Sept. 15), Texas Woman’s (Sept. 18), Midwestern State (Sept. 20), McMurry (Sept. 22) and 2012 NCAA Tournament participant Central Missouri (Oct. 6).
The GAC portion of the season starts Friday, Sept. 27 when the Lady Tigers host Northwestern. The final home game, and annual Senior Day, is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 13 when ECU hosts Ouachita Baptist.
The GAC Tournament is scheduled for Nov. 8-10 at the top seeded team in the league.
