Grayson beats Howard, advances to JUCO World Series

The Grayson Vikings overcame a late 4 run deficit to beat Howard and advance to the JUCO World Series, 12-6.

The Vikings trailed the Region V Championship game 6-2 heading into the 7th inning, but scored 4 in the 7th and 6 more in the 9th to run away with the title.

After giving up 6 runs early, the Vikigns turned to pitcher Jake Abbott in the 6th, and Howard never scored again. The Vikings were able to manufacture 12 runs without hitting a home run in the ballgame.

The win advances Grayson to the JUCO World Series in Grand Junction, Colorado. Grayson has won 3 national titles there since 1999.
