NCTC’s Davison named softball All-American
North Central Texas College first baseman Molly Davison has been named an All-American by the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA).
The sophomore from Oklahoma City was named second-team All-American in NJCAA Division 1 after a stellar season.
She was also awarded the NJCAA Softball Marucci Elite Hitter Award.
Davison finished the year with a .456 batting average and a .756 slugging percentage. She had 14 doubles, 1 triple, 14 home runs and 65 RBIs in 63 games played.
The Lady Lions finished the year 45-18 and advanced to the NJCAA National Tournament where they went 2-2.
Davison is just the second NCTC player to ever be named All-American. She will attend Lubbock Christian University in the fall and will continue her softball career for the Lady Chaps.
NCTC’s Mabary named to NJCAA All-Tourney team
North Central Texas College’s Laura Mabary was named to the All-Tournament team at the NJCAA National Tournament in St. George, Utah last week.
During the team’s four games at the tournament, Mabary went 7 for 15 at the plate (.466 average) with a double, 3 RBIs and 5 runs scored.
The sophomore from Forney plans to attend Texas Woman’s University in the fall and continue her softball career.
