Bob Stoops hasn't picked up any sense of
accomplishment from his team just because Oklahoma is off to a 5-0
start and just cleared what's usually its biggest hurdle on the way
to the Big 12 championship game.
Stoops said Tuesday that he has told his players there are
numerous areas where the sixth-ranked Sooners (5-0, 1-0 Big 12)
need to get better during their off week before hosting Iowa State
on Oct. 16.
Stoops says he believes his players are "hungry to practice
this week to make that improvement."
Among the chief areas of concern is Oklahoma's poor play in the
fourth quarter this season. Opponents are outscoring the Sooners
51-17 in the final period, with Texas becoming the latest team to
