Oklahoma State has promoted assistant
coach Glenn Spencer to co-defensive coordinator.
Head coach Mike Gundy announced Spencer's promotion Thursday.
Spencer is entering his fourth year on the Cowboys' staff. He was
the defensive line coach in 2008 before coaching linebackers in
2009 and 2010.
Current defensive coordinator Bill Young will retain that title.
It isn't known if Spencer's promotion involves a raise and a
university spokesman didn't immediately return a phone message left
Spencer says that "nothing is going to change" in how the
Cowboys operate but that he's glad to be recognized for his
Oklahoma State finished 11-2 last season and beat Arizona in the
