Oklahoma State athletic director Mike Holder says Mike McGraw will not return as the head coach of OSU's golf team.
Holder said in a statement released late Friday afternoon that the decision wasn't easy - but was made in what Holder said he believes is the best interest of the program. It offered no other specific reason for the move.
McGraw served as Holder's assistant for seven seasons starting in 1997 before spending 2004-2005 as head coach of the OSU women's golf team. He was named head coach of the men's team in fall 2005 when Holder became athletic director.
OSU won the NCAA golf title - the school's 10th - in McGraw's first year in 2006 and finished second in 2010.
