The College Gymnastics Association has named five members of the Oklahoma men's gymnastics team to its list of Academic All-America Scholar-Athletes for 2013.
Dylan Akers, Presten Ellsworth, Ethan Jose and Stanton Rehkemper were named to the First Team and Alec Robin was named to the Second Team.
The CGA honored 88 individual gymnasts as first-team All-America Scholar-Athletes for attaining at least a 3.50 grade point average and 45 second-team honorees for attaining a grade point average between 3.2 and 3.499.
Akers was one of eight student-athletes in the sport to achieve a 4.0 GPA. In 2013, Akers competed in 11 of OU's 12 meets and has also been named Academic All-Big 12 and an MPSF Scholar-Athlete.
Last month, Robin led Team USA to a gold medal at the Maccabiah Games.
