Oklahoma to open basketball season against Alabama

The Oklahoma basketball team is set for its season opener in Dallas against Alabama.

The Sooners and Crimson Tide are to tip off at 4:05 p.m. Friday as part of the Buckets and Boots Showcase that includes two other games. TCU will play SMU and Baylor takes on Colorado in the other two games at the American Airlines Center in Dallas.

Oklahoma and Alabama have played six times in the past with OU holding a 4-2 advantage. Alabama won the last game between the two, 70-55 on New Year's Day, 2007.
