Oklahoma State's Young on preseason Big 12 team

Oklahoma State's Toni Young has been named
to the preseason All-Big 12 women's team.
The conference also announced Wednesday that Oklahoma's Aaryn
Ellenberg and Whitney Hand received honorable mentions to the
2011-2012 Big 12 Women's Basketball Coaches' Preseason Team.
Young was ranked 11th in the league last season after scoring at
15.5 points per game. She was the Big 12's leading rebounder at 9.1
rebounds per contest and was also second in the league with 14
double-doubles.
Young, Baylor's Brittney Griner was named preseason player of
the year. Griner joined Young, Baylor teammate Odyssey Sims,
Kansas' Carolyn Davis, Texas' Chassidy Fussell and Texas A&M's Tyra
White on the team.
Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own players.
